This local and regional CAMRA multi-award winning club is a beacon for real ale in a relative desert. Sports feature heavily here with on-site squash courts as well as the main cricket pitch and crown green bowling. The club has been awarded Clubmark accreditation from the England & Wales Cricket Board. A popular beer festival is held in the Summer. Food is available Wednesday to Saturday evenings plus Sunday lunchtime, with Curry night on Wednesday and Steak night Friday. The members lounge accommodates up to 90 people with both this and the function room bookable for private parties. Poker night Mondays. The bar opens at 12 noon on a Saturday if either Liverpool or Manchester United are playing at home. Show CAMRA membership card for admission.
