Warrington's first Wetherspoon built on the site of an old friary with the remains visible through a section of glass floor. The downstairs bar has capacity for 10 real ales, but currently is around 5, including several from local breweries, plus a rotating real cider. A large range of bottled 'craft' beers and ciders is also available. Meet the Brewer' events are held on occasion. Enthusiastic new manager from late 2018.
