A welcoming family-friendly commiiunity pub refurbished mid 2024. Built during the heyday of Greenall-Whitley and, as such, is a very imposing building with many fine features including the real open fireplaces throughout and original fittings in evidence. As it is "off the beaten track" it is often a pleasantly quiet pub, but does get busy at weekends and during event nights. Live events include DJ nights, karaoke, live music, and quiz nights, Identified by CAMRA as having a regionally important historic pub interior.
