Historic 16thC black and white pub saved from demolition after a long fight. Reopened August 2023 after nearly 5 years closed and an extensive refurbishment, run by and for the community as a local hub. As of December 2023 an extension is being built to the rear of pub with a plan to setup an on site brewery together with a taproom. The cask ales include at least one from a local brewery and normally consist of a blonde, a bitter and a dark ale. Winner of a CAMRA ‘Highly Commended’ Pub Saving Award for 2023.
