Visit to Torrside Brewing in New Mills for the open day from 12 noon coinciding with their 10th birthday celebrations. Special brews including smoked beers are planned.

On the return journey I am provisionally planning to visit micropubs in Disley, Heaton Chapel and possibly Reddish.

Full details will follow 2 weeks before the date but the best travel option, both from Northwich and Warrington, is likely to be a Manchester Wayfarer, £17.40 full price, £11.50 with a national concessionary travel (aka bus) pass. These can be bought up to 3 days in advance at a rail station including vending machines (or on the train on the day if the ticket office is closed)
